As a blogger, and an interiors loving blogger at that, I love coming across the homes of big names such as Aimee Song and Rumi Neely. I love to see how their personal style translates into their homes and it very rarely disappoints. I recently showed you how to style your home like Song, and today I wanted to show you my take on Neely's LA-based bungalow.
The thing that excites me the most in this space is the mix of traditional and Gothic. I love the classic rich brown leather chesterfield, teamed with geometric print and sheepskin cushions. The blue ink walls are the perfect statement against the sofa, yet Neely's use of her cream and black rug and matching ottoman stops the room from being too dark.
Below I've put together eight pieces which I think help define this space, including an amazing gold skull from Amara, an industrial-inspired concrete lamp from Heals and the perfect leather Chesterfield from Sofas by Saxon.
Rochester 3 Seater Sofa - Sofas by Saxon // Limited Edition Gold Skull - Amara // Bristol Table Lamp - Heals // Jacquard-weave Cushion Cover - H&M Home // Doily Mirror Set - Rose and Grey // Candle Dish - Ikea // Giant Hydrangea Stem - Pad Lifestyle // Oyster Grey Sheepskin Rug - Graham & Green
What do you think of Rumi Neely's LA bungalow? Are you a fan of this Gothic inspired living room? Although I suspect it's a step too far away from my usual love of pastels, I could definitely see a room in my house being like this in the future.
