I know I'll probably say this every month, but I can't believe how quickly my new monthly goals post has come around. October was such a great month, I don't think November will be able to beat it, but I wanted to set myself some new goals to see me through the next 31 days.
Last month I wanted to kick start my body overhaul, which I did by joining Slimming World and I've lost half a stone so far. I also decorated my bathroom (see yesterday's mini makeover post), and I feel like I've started to create some interesting content for Apartment Number 4. The only thing I didn't do was finish my vision board, but I've had such a busy month, I've not had time to sit with my magazines and put ideas out.
Anyway, out with the old and in with the new. What has November got in store for me...
Continue Slimming
Like I mentioned above, on the second week of October I rejoined Slimming World after a year of not going. So far in 3 weeks I've lost 7lbs. I wanted to do it slowly but surely because when I've crashed dieted before, it goes straight back on, plus some. I've finally managed to get my head around the plan, followed loads of new inspirational people on Instagram and would ideally like to lose another 7lbs this month to take me to my 1 stone weight loss. If anyone would like a proper rundown of what I eat, recipes, tips etc for Slimming World then just let me know and I'll write a proper post on it.
The Final Piece of the Jigsaw
This is only a small one, and one I suspect I'll do at the end of the month when I've been paid again, but I'd like to buy a side table for my living room. The room is perfect apart from that one missing piece and I'm obsessed with gold tables right now - it's just finding the perfect one. Made.com have some gorgeous designs, as do Bombay Duck and Rose & Grey but it needs to fit into my eclectic, mid-century style that I'm working with right now.
Christmas, Christmas, Christmas
I can't actually believe I've done a lot of Christmas shopping already. I'm very prepared this year, but I just need pay day to come around again (or at least to be paid some outstanding invoices), and I can finish off Christmas before December even arrives. I still have my brother-in-law to buy for and the rest of my sister's but other than that I'm absolutely done. We always do Secret Santa at work, and I'm sure I'll buy for friends closer to the time but instead of feeling panicky like I usually, I feel like I've kind of got it in the bag this year. Plus, don't judge me, but my tree is already down from the loft and I'm planning my Boxing Day get together.
Create an Inspiring Work Space
We spend the majority of our week at work. If you're anything like me, you see your work friends more than you do your family. And you see your desk more than you do your own home. Which is why, I think, creating a nice environment to work in is essential. I work in a creative job, where I need to be thinking of ideas for features, layouts and photoshoots on a daily basis, so I need my space to be inspiring. So I've decided to pimp up my work area and go stationery shopping. Hell to the yes. I love me a stationery shop. I want some pinboards to start adding inspo for the new season (which starts for me in December working on autumn/winter 2017), I want to add some photographs to make it feel a little more me, and get some flowers in there to really brighten the place up. Plus, if I could have a Kate Spade stapler my life would be complete but don't think they're in our stationery cupboard.
What are your goals for the new month ahead?
Well done on the dieting. 7lbs is a great amount in 3 weeks, it's given me a bit of a kickstarter to carry on getting healthier again. I fell off the wagon so badly!

Thank you lovely! Honestly, Slimming World is the best thing I've ever done, I can't even say it's a diet it's just a really healthy balanced eating plan. I have 3 stone left to lose but I'm on my way now :) good luck with getting back on the wagon doll! Let me know how you do! xxx
