TO FRINGE OR NOT TO FRINGE

To fringe or not to fringe, that is the question. It's the hardest question I'm facing with my hair at the moment. My hairstyle just feels so stale, and I want to shake things up. Although I flutter between wanting to be blonde or remain brunette, I know at heart that brown shades suit my skin tone better. I also know that my hair looks limp when it grows too long, yet my head looks like a mushroom if I get it cut too short. So the only thing left to do is get a fringe cut in.

I've been pinning some fringspiration (see what I did there), and have decided on a middle parting, with a long grown out fringe - channelling Sienna Miller in Alfie or the effortlessly beautiful Bridget Bardot. I think with longer layers added to a long bob it could look really nice. The only thing I have to decide on is whether I can be bothered to get it cut every couple of weeks. I haven't had my barnet touched since October last year so you can probably tell I'm not that high maintenance, hence the idea of me having to go to the hairdressers every three weeks doesn't appeal at all. I might just have to learn how to cut it myself, and channel Betty Paige instead.

Here's some inspiration anyway, in case you were looking at doing the same thing. Alexa, of course, pops up more than once - the Queen of the grown-out fringe.

  1. Gorgeous photos Victoria, makes me want to get a fringe myself! I have poker straight hair so a fringe would be too severe! Sure you will look lovely with one :)

  2. I started getting frown lines on my forehead so i cut myself a big canopy fringe which has knocked over five years off me! I have naturally wavy hair, which breaks it up, a bit Zoey Deshanels. I think the longer layers at the sides which you are going for look really sexy and pretty at the same time.
