I was reading Media Marmalade's blog whilst laid in bed last night and one of her many amazing tips and tricks was to add a new series to your blog when you feel like it needs a little refresh. So today I've started something I like to call Monday Goals. Basically a list of things I want to achieve for the week ahead. Posted on a Monday morning. Hardly rocket science I know. Anyway, here are the four goals I have for this week.
Get to the gym at least twice
If I'm realistic, I know I'm lazy bitch. So if I say I'll go to the gym twice it's way more feasible than saying four or five times. Plus, pilates is on Tuesdays and Thursdays so even if I just go to that in the evening, I will have achieved this weeks goal.
Start a long term blogging plan
I've been thinking about the future of this blog for quite a while, wondering if it's ever going to really take off and how I'm going to make it a one-stop destination for aspirational yet completely affordable interior and lifestyle inspiration. I'm going to start with content overhaul and I'll write a post this week on what I plan to do to take my www dot to the next level.
Declutter my life
I've been reading quite a bit on how to simplify your life and what changes you can do to create a better work/life balance. One of those is to clear out all the crap you don't need. And believe me, I have loads. I have drawers filled with rubbish, my kitchen has no sort of organisation and my spare room, come office, come cats en suite is laughable. So I've bought myself some bin liners and tonight I'm going to make a start. Some things will be going to the charity shop, some things to my eBay page and a lot, straight in the rubbish bin.
Design two new prints
I haven't really mentioned or pushed my print and poster business on Etsy (click on the link here or above in the navbar) much recently, but it's been ticking along nicely, with two to three orders a week. That's fine for me right now with a full time job and this blog but I would like to refresh my shop with some new prints so I've decided to work on some of my best selling categories (Sex and the City quotes and personalised song lyrics) and create two new designs this week. Keep an eye on my Instagram where I'll show you what I came up with.
So that's my four goals for this week, nothing too strenuous but also enough to keep me occupied whilst I'm off work for ten days. What are your goals for the week ahead?
I think you have some awesome goals to work with. I certainly need to look at decluttering my life too. Everywhere I look there is crap. Let me know how you get on with this and any tips & hints are welcome please!

I started with the decluttering lovely, but they goal to go to the gym twice went completely out of the window *hanging my head in shame. I'm going to write a post on decluttering anyway as even just doing a little from the spare room felt cleansing! :) xxx
DeleteI wish I could make a list and follow it - that't the tricky bit. You're on to something here - I need to make my list shorter and realistically attainable for one day. thanks!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely make it shorter lovely, mine was 4 points and I still didn't achieve them all! But it's something to work towards and from now on, it's not about achieving it in a week, it's about at least getting started on them that week! xxx
DeleteGreat list! I like your attainable 2x a week gym goals...I swear, I can sometimes not even make 1. Your Etsy shop looks great too! Look forward to reading along and see how you get on with your Monday Goals.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I didn't even get there once!!! :( And I had the week off work as well, oh well at least the thought was there! Come back tomorrow as I'll have my new Monday goals up for the week ahead xxx
