As we all know by now, there are some bloggers that just have it, whether it be in their fashion choices or their interiors, they ooze style from the inside out. Design Bloggers at Home takes twelve of these creatives and discovers where the magic happens in terms of their homes and work spaces. From pared-back monochrome cabins in Scandinavia to an eclectic colour-filled apartment in California, the book even includes a chapter on setting up your own blog. A debut for interior journalist and stylist Ellie Tennant, there is no doubt a sequel is needed.
The second instalment to come from sister design duo, Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman, Happy Handmade Home was one of my favourite Christmas presents this year. I actually bought this for my sister and my mum bought this back for me, so you can already tell we have the same sense of style - like Elsie and Emma ironically. Separated room by room, this book has easy DIY's through to more complicated furniture restyles. I read this book cover to cover, and I've already planned some bits I'm doing for up-and-coming DIY's for the blog. Just check out how much you can do with just a Shapie pen.
Created by stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe, Living in Style is a follow up to her first book, A to Zoe. Dubbed the "bible for advice and inspiration for living in style", this hardback takes a look into Zoe's life and discovers her secrets for a stylish life across beauty, home design, entertaining, travel and of course, fashion. Filled with never-before-seen photographs from Zoe's personal collection and tips from colleagues, celebrities and family members, this is a book for those looking to be inspired by the Hollywood crowd.
One of my favourite designers, this book is a classic coffee table book, with its beautiful front cover design and huge catalogue size. Designed as the definitive home-decorating guide, this book offers professional advice on both the practical and aesthetic aspects to interiors design. Alongside gorgeous photography and room schemes, Hoppen offers expert guidance on how to use scale and proportion, colour, texture, lighting, furniture and art - from kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms to media rooms, home offices, gyms and spas. A beautiful book from start to finish.
One for the fashion girls amongst us, this book is from designer Kate Spade and is perfect for fans of beautiful photography and the designers work. Comprising twenty chapters, each one is filled with inspiration from the colour red, to a well-placed bow. Part visual diary, part inspirational reference, this oversized book features playful tips and practical advice and is a beautiful compilation that visually represents the spirit of Kate Spade New York - "a place where the colours are bold, smart design is key and fashion is fun" as Spade herself describes.
