OLIVER BONAS SS17

You'll probably be able to tell from the "shop my home" section above, I'm a huge fan of Oliver Bonas. If you haven't heard about OB before, then I'm not sure we can be friends anymore. What started as an independent boutique in Clapham Common has grown into a nationwide interiors haven, with a Leeds store opening last year (see my visit around the store here).

Each season they present a swoon worthy collection of home accessories and furniture, stationery and books, and this spring is no different. From the effortless styling of the lookbook to the attention to detail in each product, I'm pretty much obsessed with each piece I've chosen to showcase here. This collection is basically my style personified.

As a budding interior stylist, I'm always looking past the actual product itself and seeing how the brand behind it has put its lookbooks together - this one is simple but super stylish. The concrete texture works so well with the pastel tones, which is making me think about investing in some kind of concrete backdrop to shoot blog pictures on. How cool would that look. Or else I could actually just go down to the street and shoot on real life concrete.

It's also great to see some colour back into home decor again, after everything went a little minimalist and hygge-fied last year. These hand painted trinket dishes above are a dream, and the perfect idea for a birthday present, while the watercolour blues in the vases below look great group in a vignette as styled below.

As you'll know from my previous posts, I make no secret about loving prints and posters around my house (in fact, I'm pretty sure my landlord is going to make me replaster the full flat when I leave), and it looks like OB isn't going to disappoint this season either. I love how well these three above work so well together, and I'm especially fangirling on the black London print. Please make a Leeds one OB designers.

While I've got my trend-spotting head on, be prepared to spot a lot more of this black and white paint splash effect below. I started to see hints of it across Pinterest and various US magazines so noted it as a trend to hit the UK soon. And it has. Which I'm pleased with as I absolutely love this effect, although if I'm honest I'm not too keen on it being teamed with natural wood.

From makeup brush holders to mirrors, chairs, mohair cushions and stationery, there really is something to whet your appetite for the new season. My desk, which is currently wall to wall with tax returns, receipts and a4 envelopes, could certainly use a few of these updates. It doesn't seem like marble and brass are going any place any time soon, but to be fair I love it so much I'd prefer it stick around for another season, especially with this more subtle finish to it.

Have you spotted anything you like here? You can shop the full Oliver Bonas collection right here, and leave me a comment below if you do pick yourself a little suttin' suttin' up.
