When it comes to colour combinations, blush pink and gold are probably up with there as two of the best, alongside blue and crisp white. There's sometime so stylish about seeing these two tones together, especially when they're in rich contrasting textures. Which is why, as you can see, I've fallen head over heels in love with my new Parisian inspired living room additions.
I knew I wanted to inject some more pink, shocker, as the weather started to warm up so these pieces have fit in perfectly by my French doors where the sun streams in for most of the day. And speaking of which, two of my latest finds are from one of my favourite online interiors stores, The French Bedroom Company.
If you're unfamiliar with the brand, The French Bedroom Company was founded in 2006 by interiors guru Georgia Metcalfe, who started the company with just three beds, four chandeliers and a couple of rugs. A decade later and the store has grown extensively and offers a comprehensive range of homeware from beautifully handcrafted pieces of furniture to lighting, tableware, wall art and so much more - all with a signature flare, perfect for creating that Parisian inspired decor.
When the girls at FBC got in touch recently to see if I'd like to work together and be their Blogger of the Month for April - which includes lots of exciting content this weekend over on their blog and Instagram - they mentioned they'd love to kindly send me two pieces from their latest collections to see how I'd style them in my home.
As soon as I spotted this beautiful Parisian inspired circular gold side table, I knew instantly it would fit seamlessly into my home. It looks so elegant next to my Chesterfield-inspired armchair, which mixes both British and French style effortlessly.
Incredible quality, this table is lightweight but solid and doesn't overwhelm the space like with its glass top and slim legs. To style that I've created a vignette in a similar colour palette, including faux flowers and a trinket box. I love how this had turned out and looks so fresh for the new season.
The second item the team sent over was this Splash of Gold pink velvet cushion. I love the gold foil applique, adding a modern French touch against what could have been a more traditional space. I teamed this cushion with a coral Mongolian cushion and I think the contrast in textures works really well.
It's obvious quality is at the forefront of the FBC's ethos - even the packaging was beautiful with a hand tied ribbon around the brochure that comes with each delivery. I love how this corner of my living room has come together and it's made me realise how much I want to inject this colour combination to other areas of my home.
Are you a fan of blush pink and gold? What do you think to my little reading corner?

I'm about to decorate my bedroom and considering grey and blushed pink! Think you need to design it for me!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really love blush pink and gold as a color combo. Pink, navy, and white is also another color combo that I think works surprisingly well. Thanks for sharing these pieces!
