When Pinterest says something's a trend, then, believe me, it's a trend. And that couldn't be truer of the explosion of Millennial Pink - a shade which has dominated homeware and fashion for the last couple of months. Even menswear designers have noted the power of pink, and Rihanna pink trainer design for her Fenty x Puma collection sold out within minutes. It's no surprise really that there's been a 70 percent increase during the first part of this year for pink details on Pinterest.
One thing I've noticed within the interiors industry is the rise of pink. You only have to look at the popularity of Sketch, with its pink walls, pink lighting and pink chairs to see why this shade works so well. Working extremely well with gold and rose gold metal, the use of pink in 2017 spans textiles, furniture, fabrics and decorative accessories - pretty much every surface of your home could be sugar coated.
A trend which I predict to be even bigger come summer is the use of Millennial Pink in the bathroom - pink tiled bathrooms to be exact. Remember when pink bathrooms were all the rage in the 50's? I mean I don't actually remember because I wasn't born until 1984, but you only have to Google vintage bathroom designs and you'll see a plethora of candy pink. It's just another trend which has come full circle to become "trendy" again.4
Anyway, today I wanted to share fifteen of my favourite tiled bathroom designs to hopefully inspire you if you're looking to add a little pink flare to your current setup. From pink herringbone flooring to the most amazing pink, gold and white bathroom renovation (main image), this is definitely a trend I can get on board with.
I'd love to know what you think about this trend - is pink a colour you'd incorporate into your house? Believe me, if I could tile my bathroom today, I'd be picking these pink beauties.
Those pink tiles are beautiful! We're redoing our bathrooms at the moment and I've chosen a pale pink and white marble mosaic for the floor from Fired Earth ... I couldn't resist the blush color.
