With wellness and nature being such an emerging trend for 2017 - Pantone's colour of the year is in fact Greenery - I wanted to see how this would translate into weddings. It seemed like the whole world got engaged this Christmas so I suspect there's a whole host of planning, Pinning and preparing for the big day going on right now.
My previous post on City Wedding Inspiration post went down a treat with you guys, so I thought I'd do something similar but with a more natural approach to decor. The thing I love about this trend is the whole simplicity of it. There's a very minimal colour palette and it seems to work really well in both traditional venues (see above) and more industrial spaces. The latter seems to work particularly well when greenery is teamed with metallics such as brass and copper - just look at that copper table decoration below.
When you're thinking about wedding flowers this year, think no flowers at all. The trend for greenery is all about leaves, branches and palms. I adore greenery arches, ivy running throughout and I'm slightly obsessed with a succulent-adorned wedding cake.
The perfect thing about this trend is that your wedding dress can be as traditional or as modern as you like - I can imagine an all-over beaded off-white 20s dress (some beautiful options here at Simply Be who have launched a wedding section this season), or a modern minimalist design both working equally as well.
