WORKING IN MENSWEAR: LONDON COLLECTIONS AW16

Today I wanted to give you an insight into my day job. Obviously I run this blog, as well as designing prints over on my Etsy shop, but if you didn't know already, I work full time as the editor of a menswear magazine. I like to keep busy, what can I say.

I was very lucky that land my dream job about a year after going to university to study journalism. I wrote a post here all about how I became editor before I was 30 if you're interested, but today I wanted to give you a little look into what sort of things I get up to - most recently being this weekend.

Believe me, day to day isn't so glamorous, but I've had some pretty amazing opportunities land my way since working on the magazine. I've travelled all over the place, being invited to meet Prince Charles AND to meet the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street - the latter I had to say no to as I was already busy, you know how it is - and I've really fallen in love with men's fashion.

Each season there's an event called London Collections Men, which is like fashion week but for the male variety. I travel down to see what the new season has in store, from product to trends to collaborations and news. And Friday I did just that, snapping bits along the way to share with you here. You may be able to spot a few familiar faces, especially handsome above - although in all honesty, I'd have preferred to see his wife, Miss Palermo.

I know this is slightly different to what I usually post, but I hope you enjoy it all the same. It's part of my life I very rarely share on here so I thought maybe today I'd just give you a peek into what pays the bills.
