I'm going through a slight midlife crisis at the moment. You know those days when you wake up and realise you dislike your wardrobe, your hair and your make-up which you've done the same since the day you turned 15? Well I've been living that day for the past couple of months now. I suspect turning 30 has a lot to do with it. I feel like I'm almost stuck in a time warp of not wanting to get rid of my old clothes but not really knowing how I should adapt my look or what my style is anymore.
So with that said, I took to one of my favourite blogs, Wearing it Today, for some much needed wardrobe inspiration. Created by Laura Fantacci, Wearing it Today has already feature on Apartment Number 4 a couple of years back, but her timeless style has remained one of my favourites to refer to after all this time.
Fantacci has this ability to take the simplest of pieces and create stunning looks, and her Italian elegance is prevalent throughout her blog. Founder of Wardrobe Icons - a website and online magazine focused on finding those classic wardrobe additions for every budget - the former Red magazine fashion editor knows how to put the perfect finishing touches to her look, whether it's a swipe of red lip, or on-trend Isabel Marant lace around shoes.
I've pulled together some of my must-emulate looks from WIT and if you haven't checked either this blog or Wardrobe Icons out, I'd definitely recommend dropping by on your lunch hour.
