Dear Mum, 

Today is mother's day so this post was always going to be for you. I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for making me who I am today. 

Thank you for your kindness and your patience. 

Thank you for retiring from cutting my hair and paying for a qualified hairdresser do it. 

Thank you for turning a blind eye to me getting drunk most Friday nights on Bramley park, when in fact you could have grounded me. 

Thank you for giving me the confidence to do what ever I've wanted to do. 

Thank you for understanding just how much I hate gears in a car. 

Thank you for laughing with me, and not at me, when I get words wrong. 

Thank you for lending me money before payday when everytime I say it's going to be the last. 

Thank you for your roast potatoes. 

Thank you for looking after my popa when he got ill. 

Thank you for listening to me when I call up to say how much I miss home. 

Thank you for being my cheerleader in whatever I achieve. 

Thank you for your honesty, I now know concealer used as lipstick is not a good look. 

Thank you for always checking my spelling. 

Thank you for buying all my cleaning products for me EVERY TIME I move back out of the family home. 

Thank you for not throwing my tray away. 

Thank you for passing on your creativity. 

Thank you for being my friend as well as my mum.
