CORNFLOWER BLUE INTERIOR INSPIRATION

Now, I know some of you may already have seen this post over on my interiors blog Apartment No.4. Well, to cut a long story short, I found that having Apartment No.4 and I Heart Fashion has been slightly more difficult that I first imagined to juggle. Plus, it took nearly five years to get the traffic I get now on IHF, so I thought why not utilise that and almost brand I Heart.

So now as you'll see the blog has received some little tweaks, which now include I Heart Living - a section where all my more personal posts go, I Heart Interiors - where all these sorts of beauties go, I Heart Boutique - which is still in the development stages but will be a basic 'shop my style' kind of page, and finally I Heart Beauty - ignore the word taste, that's something I need to change. I was going to do more cooking and baking on the blog but with the kitchen I have in my house at the moment, nobody got time to be looking at that grime hole.

But don't forget about Apartment No.4. Oh no, this little dream is here to stay, just in a different format. I'm not revealing anything yet but now I own the domain, it seems the perfect time to create something I've wanted to for a while now. That's all I'm saying for now, apart from watch this space.

Anyway, on to the interiors. Cornflower blue is one of  my favourite colours at this time of year, and in terms of fashion it seems to be everywhere at the moment. It is definitely the shade of spring so I thought that it might be nice to look at how that can translate into your home, especially now the sun seems to shining in London at least.

Cornflowers are a beautiful flower in a rich shade of blue, popping up between March and May. Teamed with white and off cream, this relaxing tone is perfect for restful spaces such as bedrooms and bathrooms. Add various shades of blue to add depth to your bedroom as seen above, or maybe just paint a single piece of wooden furniture in a room full of colour.

I love the combination with gold as spotted on this table decoration layout below, and if you are going to use this colour somewhere in your house be sure to add some actual Cornflowers to the mix - they smell beautiful and it's always nice to have fresh flowers around.
