HOW TO CREATE THE HOME OF NINA GARCIA ON A BUDGET

Architectural Digest is something I keep meaning to subscribe to, but never actually get around doing. I'm really interested in interiors, and at some point can see me moving from menswear into that industry some how, but I'll probably stick to reading it online for now and keep that money in my 'save for a decent camera' fund. 

What I love about Architectural Digest magazine is the Celebrity Living section. It's like MTV Cribs but for a more refined generation - and yes, I'm placing myself in that sector before you ask.

Nina Garcia, judge of Project Runway and Fashion Director of Marie Claire US, lives in a stunning apartment in New York City's Upper East Side. With a sumptuous mix of textures, including fur, velvet and silk, as well as a subtle colour palette of charcoal, gold and duck egg blue, this apartment screams 'accomplished'. The simple flashes of pink come through a variation of flowers, but if fresh ones are too costly to keep replacing, invest in some quality faux silk ones like these below from Marks and Spencer.
