I can't believe it's been over a year since I made over my spare bedroom-come-office. I was so pleased with the results and even more pleased when Style at Home magazine said they wanted to feature it in the April issue of this year. But with a new season arriving, and absolutely loads of gorgeous home decor bits and pieces on the high street, I wanted to add some fresh updates - the first one being a new mattress for my guest bed.

When the delivery team brought my mattress it was all rolled up in a box, vacuum packed and weighing an absolute tonne. I felt so sorry for the delivery guys, having to carry it up three flights of stairs to my flat, but once it was in, it was so simple to unwrap, unroll and enjoy. There was ever a cutter to help you unwrap the mattress safely, as well as a little sheep looking as cute as can be.
It's recommended to leave the mattress for 24 hours for the natural fillings to recover back into place but I've already had a little snooze this afternoon (in my fancy new cactus pj's which everyone seems to have gone mad for on Instagram) when the internet from EE went down for a good couple of hours and I was getting withdrawal symptoms. I'm impatient I know. The natural, handmade design adapts to suit the contours of your body and your sleeping profile - it felt like it had just moulded perfectly to my shape, butt curves and all.
The brand are so confident you'll love your new mattress that they've guaranteed it for a whopping 10 years. A decade for any problems with the construction to occur and the team with repair or replace free of charge. There's also a 100 night guaranteed to make sure you're 100 percent satisfied, and if after those 100 nights you're unconvinced, herdysleep will collect the mattress and refund you in full. Perfect.
So to go with my new mattress, I decided to update the rest of my room with some little decorative touches, including this amazing gold clock from Homesense, which was £9.99, and this gold elephant candle which was £3 from Primark's home section. Look at the detail on this candle, it's stunning.
Some other purchases included this succulent from Sainsbury's - if you haven't check out your local store, then do, because they are killing the homeware game at the moment, seriously. I also picked up this gold and white wire basket, pink and wooden frame, and a gold wire clip board which is the perfect place to hang all my Paperchase postcards I got for 70p each. How gorgeous is this lama illustration?
I also got some gorgeous frames from The Range, which are white with a light wood insert - very Scandi. I just printed out some of my favourite Pinterest pictures and desktop backgrounds from DesignLoveFest and framed them for my shelves. I really like how this has turned out because these shelves have been bugging me for a while now, not really look cohesive (cough, cough, very important) or worthy of a shelfie in any form.
So there you go, my new spare room/office additions for Spring. Well I think they deserve an award just for the name of their mattress company alone, super cute! Love all your little updates, I shall have to check out my local Sainsbury's it's a massive one with loads of homeware but I haven't had a nosy for ages X

I know what you man about Sainsburys, I got a fab embroidered triangle cushion from there a couple of weeks ago and it's my new favourite :) it's the cats' favourite too but I try to keep them off it - it's too pretty to be clawed at! I LOVE the clock - need you to come style my office! X
